I'm not a jellybean fan (or any other sweets per se). I just don't have a sweet tooth. I can take or leave chocolate. That said, of the flavors listed above... the WORST has to be buttered popcorn, which is the flavor for Missouri. If I had to choose 5 flavors above, I'd go for (in no particular order): green apple, coconut, peach, juicy pear, or watermelon.

Gerber baby dies (age 95)

Ann Turner Cook (November 20, 1926 - June 3, 2022)

Ann Turner Cook was an American mystery novelist. She was also the model for the familiar Gerber Baby artwork seen on baby food packages of the Gerber Products Company. 

Cook is the daughter of a syndicated cartoonist Leslie Turner, who drew the comic strip Captain Easy for decades. Their neighbor was the artist Dorothy Hope Smith, who did a charcoal drawing of Ann when she was a baby. In 1928, when Gerber announced it was looking for baby images for its upcoming line of baby food, Smith's drawing was submitted and subsequently chosen. It was trademarked in 1931. The drawing of Ann Turner Cook has been used on virtually all Gerber baby food packaging since.

Thank you for sticking by me, my dear friends. I didn't want to keep sharing my computer woes, so I've kept quiet. Good news. I think my problems have turned the corner. I am overwhelmed by your support and generous offers. One reader even offered to buy me a complete set-up (new computer, etc.) I could NEVER accept such a gift. I am grateful, but my troubles aren't monetary, just bad luck.

I hope to be back on track in short order. As for the blog, I owe my readers a month or more.

A little bad news during my computer-related hiatus. I lost 30 subscribers/readers during that period. I went from 31, 280 to 31, 250. 

How can I get them back? Some readers can be so fickle. Then again, I disappointed them with my random updates. Disappoint a reader once, they might be forgiving. Disappoint a reader twice, they pack their bags and move on to greener pasturized milk.
