Teresa

Teresópolis is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of Rio de Janeiro. On July 6, 1891, the village became a municipality that was named Teresópolis ("city of Teresa"), after Empress Teresa Cristina, wife of Emperor Pedro II.

Santa Teresa is a census-designated place (CDP) in Dona Ana County, New Mexico, United States. It is home to the Santa Teresa Port of Entry and is part of the Las Cruces Metropolitan Statistical Area, although geographically it is considerably closer to El Paso, Texas than to Las Cruces.

Santa Teresa is a district of San Jose, California, located in South San Jose. Founded in 1834, Santa Teresa was originally established as Rancho Santa Teresa by the Bernal family, a prominent Californio clan. Today, Santa Teresa is largely a residential area, but also home to numerous Silicon Valley tech campuses.

The Santa Teresa Hills are a range of mountains in Santa Clara County, California, located primarily in the city of San Jose. They separate the San Jose neighborhoods of Almaden Valley to the west and Santa Teresa to the east.

Subtropical Storm Teresa
A weak cold front first began pushing into the western Atlantic on September 19. As this front interacted with an upper-level low moving in from the west, it generated an area of disturbed weather, with increasing convection located near a developing surface center. That disturbance, nestled underneath the upper-level low, developed into a subtropical depression around 06:00 UTC on September 24 while located about 175 mi (280 km) east-southeast of Bermuda. Over the next 12 hours, the depression intensified into Subtropical Storm Teresa and reached peak winds of 45 mph (75 km/h). As the cyclone moved northwest but then veered northeast, it encountered dry air and wind shear, which promptly caused its weakening, and Teresa degenerated to a remnant low around 18:00 UTC on September 25. The low weakened to a trough the next day, and that trough was absorbed by a frontal system on September 27.

Some readers have been so upset with Frog Applause that they were suspended or banned from the GoComics website because they couldn’t temper their language or their rage. The strip brought 

out the worst in some people, and they just "lost it”. But what about Frog Applause made certain readers lose their shiitake mushrooms?

 

 

Some people were further outraged because instead of inflicting pain and suffering on Teresa with their comments, she embraced their words, spotlighted them on her blog, then offered a comment of her own, often deriding the hater for not trying harder to be original or creatively hateful enough.

Using the comments that mocked her strip, Teresa often incorporated those comments into new Frog Applause 

material, which probably wasn’t the desired result by the person who hoped to crush Teresa’s spirit.

*This practically coincides with FROG APPLAUSE. Did the masses hate the strip so much that they retaliated by naming their females Olivia, Emma, and Paisley instead? I'm okay with this, by the way. I get annoyed when I meet other girls or women with my name, even if they are 20+ years old than me. What about you? How do you feel when people walk around with your name, acting like they own it?
