The Daily Cartoonist

"The Daily Cartoonist" is the go-to/must-read online news source for cartoonists and others with ties to the comics industry. Anyway, TDC announced the return of "Frog Applause" soon after I returned from my mostly explained hiatus. Some assumptions were made about why I wasn't posting. Was it the GoComics changeover and perhaps my dissatisfaction? Did some FA-haters finally run me out of town before sundown?  Turns out, it was that all too common unwelcome and uninvited interloper of us all. Cancer. (In my case: breast cancer.)

Too bad the cartoon that D.D. Degg posted is one that I hate. It's a strange feeling to despise your own work, but I am often my own worst critic. Something about this cartoon makes me cringe. No,  everything about it is repulsive. If I recall correctly, I was close to my deadline and I ended up posting this horrible creation in a panic... never considering that it would ever show up on "The Daily Cartoonist" for everyone to see. <Gasp> Grrr. Embarrassment!
