Thanks to the always unpredictable and hysterically head-scratching Teresa Burritt for this wonderful graphic. Teresa does the ineffable Frog Applause on GoComics and it could be considered the cure for the common comic. But that sounds sorta "too slick" so let's not even go there.
Editor's note: I too was considered ineffable when I was younger as I wasn't a big "groomer."

(Andrews McMeel Universal just doesn't seem the same without John. I will always be grateful to him for his support and kindness. I particularly miss the little doodles he drew on my quarterly royalty statements.)
