More email from my readers. I love you all.

Today I learned that the most common national holiday worldwide celebrates independence from Britain.

65 countries celebrate this.  Wouldn’t it be great if they all gathered together on a single day to celebrate this, kind of like the World’s Fair?  Heck, to show no hard feelings, we could even invite the younger Royals to come be the keynote speaker or pass out the prizes at the stock show.  All in the name of mutual cooperation and World Unity.

I also found out today about Cindy Sherman, a photographer whose work consists primarily of photographs depicting herself in many different contexts and as various imagined characters.  Do a GIS of her; you’ll be amazed!

Every photo that comes up is Cindy, plus she did her own makeup… She’s actually quite well known, but the thought occurs that what she’s done is almost a new kind of art – now that she’s pioneered this, why shouldn’t other people do that too?  It’s not as though there can be only one impressionist, one realist, one who owns all of B&W, another who rules landscapes, etc.

And thassall I got for now – hang in there darlin’.
